Registration of residing is now in the competence of local self-governance (instead of immigration department)

On 4 April 2016 domicile registration will not be engaged by the State Migration Service (“ДМС”). Now residing will be registered by executive bodies of village, town or city council, village head (if the executive body of the village council not created).

Thus were adopted a new decree from 02.03.2016 number 207, which regulated the procedure for registration and de-registration. But in general, there are little changes compared with previous procedures.
