As known, citizenship in Ukraine may acquired in cases provided by the Law of Ukraine “On Citizenship”, among them: the birth (from parents Ukrainian), territorial origin (born in Ukraine), as a result of the establishment of the child care, the citizenship as a result of obtaining immigration permit (permit for permanent residence).
The authors of the bill number 2847 from 14.05.2015r. believe that these grounds should be added by the simplified procedure for obtaining citizenship for persons serving under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Simplification is the fact that the persons who have contracted the service for 3 years should not also apply to requirements: to obtain immigration permits, language, availability of means of subsistence, as well as the requirement of residence in Ukraine at least 5 years legally .
